Katie Brash is a practicing studio artist and educator based in Charleston, SC.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Katie graduated from Allegheny College in 2017 where she studied Global Health and Studio Art. She then earned her Masters Degree in teaching at College of Charleston in 2022, with a concentration in art. She practices both as a studio artist and an art educator.

Katie creates large-scale, high contrast drawings. Much of her work is figural, focusing on human form and portraiture. She works mostly in charcoal, contè crayon, graphite, chalk pastel, and has some work in acrylic and oil paint. Katie ties different imagery into compositions that fill the foreground space of her work.
